KYB GR2 shocks on 6th gen
Does anybody have experience with this setup? I know the company offers the AGX series which is supposedly the "upgraded verison." Is the only difference between the GR2 and the AGX struts the fact that the AGX are adjustable?
Also, how do the GR2's run with lowering springs?

GR2's are oem replacement ... they wouldn't last very long on lowering springs ... yea i think the only diff between GR2 and AGX is the dampening feature ... i don't think the AGX's are meant for lowering springs either
Dammit..I am looking for some decent priced aftermarket shocks to replace my Sprint shocks right now.
Looking to spend around $700 or so..Is this even possible nowadays?

Decent priced?? $700?? You can get a set of Koni Yellows for $560 shipped, and those are top of the line. So what's the problem?
im running GR2 lowered on skunk2 springs. not bad, ride is pretty good. skunk2 springs dont drop that low though, which is why i stayed with the GR2 (stock replacements).
i have an 01 accord coupe with the eibach prokit 1.5 drop and kyb gr-2 struts and they work great. I have had them on there for about 8 months now with ZERO prolems. just make sure to use your bump stops. I even cut mine down a little bit

The dampers are the most important active part of the suspension and play a huge role in both ride quality and handling performance. Don't cheap out when buying shocks.
After having a conversation with the folks at KYB the GR2 are fine for lowering springs, however if you lower the car more than 1.5 inches, you will see rapid degradation.
