Default B20 Swap

So I got the motor to sit in the bay, but I am having trouble getting the block to mount onto transmission. The clutch/flywheel feels like it's not wanting to go in. Think I just need to play with it and move it around?

It's a b20z2 mounting onto a b16a transmission, non lsd. Any suggestions/help will be appreciated. Thanks!

It is a lot easier to do with everything outta the car but the thing that is stopping you is probably the splines on the clutch. It will take some manuvering until it sits on right. It may be easier to take the motor back out though

keep playing with it

and check the clutch disk see if it goes onto the spline

sometimes mistakes happen when u get new clutch and they give u the disk for a cable tranny

just pull the engine back out. it will in the end save some time.. i did a b20 swap/ls trans in my crx and i pulled the engine out twice before getting it to run due to the transmission. having the engine out will make it easier to bolt the tranny up.

agreed! im a girl and have done three tranny swaps with motors in car and 2 of them were clutch jobs it sucks!!!!!! just pull the motor out its a battle when its in the car unless u have a cherry picker but even then its a Biotch so pull it out and assemble outside of car MUCH easier believe me

Thanks for the input. I pulled the motor back out, and will pull out the tranny and assemble it then. Will save me a **** load of time and headache.

nice. It will definitely be a lot easier for you now. Don't forget to make sure your pilot bearing is still in the flywheel after all of the comotion
