wat motor oil are you using in your b20v?
I'm not sure. i just read about oils and they say its the Climate the engine oil will be running in that effects it. 10w30 is for Texas weather and is what i always ran in all my cars. if i run 5w30 in my civic i hear the valve ticks louder.

I run 15w40 Rotella in mine. I live on the coast in Mississippi where it stays hot so 15w40 is perfect for the weather and for the higher out out of the combination of the b20 block and vtec head. Absolutely do not run 0w30 thats only for new Honda’s. Depending on how cold it is where you arat 10-30 10-40 or 15-40. 20-50 is good with a turbo setup but no turbo no need

10w30 always, 0w30 is acceptable in cold climates. I would not recommend 20w50 unless there are problems with oil pressure, and even then I would consider that an improper bandaid rather than a fix.
I’ve had several b20 Vtecs and built about 10 of them. They love 5w30 synthetic for daily driving and 10w30 synthetic for track use. Best oils for longevity. I use Valvoline.
