Default Comptech IceBox --- Can it use stock ITR rubber arm?

Thinking about getting the Comptech Icebox... but do I have to get the Comptech short ram tube... or can the stock ITR rubber intake arm "bolt" right on?

Where would be the best place to order the Icebox from? They for got $165 at IPS... but I'm not sure if it comes with the filter or not?
BTW, is the Comptech filter "cleanable" like the K&N's?

Just contemplating if it's worth to swap out the AEM for the Icebox... hmmmm!

I did. They sound totally different. Comptech is roooaarrrrROOOOAAARRR. AEM is baaaahhhhBAAAAHHHH. They feel different too. It seems like the AEM has a better low end.

Interesting, I would have thought it would be the other way around minus the 4000 rpm power hump of the AEM.

That's what I thought too, before I actually get hands-on experience.

has anyone done a freakin back-2-back dyno session with a STOCK itr, AEM, Comptech, Drop-in, etc.?

I've seen a stock itr dyno with 1) removed intake resonator (loss 2whp), 2) k&n drop-in (gain 2whp) and, 3) AEM CAI which gave 4whp. Surely someone has done the same with Comptech.

The more i look at bolt-on mods, the more silly i think it is for the minor gains vs. cost.

-Ben, who is about ready to remove the AEM/JDM header/cat (MAYBE 10whp oh woooo...) in favor of being able to run Solo-2 D-Stock instead of CSP where he is getting man-handled by fully race-prepared RX7's and Miatas. (and no, i can't run STX, I have race tires which make up more speed then 10whp ever did)
