Default 2000 Civic Double Din

Well fellas my cd player is about to crap out on me. Ive been thinking about moving on up to the double dins.

Ive looked at a few double dins already, and im really liking the Pioneer AVIC-F900BT.

I just have a few questions concerning getting it into my car and using all the features properly.

1) Will it fit? If so what would I need to make it fit?
2) I would deff be using the nav feature. My question is, do I need to buy anything to use this feature or is it simply put the unit in and go to town?
3) Id also use the sirius/xm radio feature, and also would like to know if I have to buy anything extra.

Im horrible with this sort of electronic thing, so it will be installed by a professional installer. Should they have all of the extras that I need to get everything up and running perfectly?

Sparknotes - have a 2000 civic, want to put in a double din, dont know what I need, dont know what I need to make nav and sirius to work.

Any help would be great. Thanks

There is a dash kit out there for a double din in a Honda and maybe you might need to do a little modification to mount it but if you are going to have it professionally installed then they should know what they are doing.

You will need a harness adapter, [to plug into the cars radio harness].
You may or may not need a DD trim ring, depends on what comes with the Pioneer HU, mounting is "ISO" so no kit is needed, other then trim maybe.

You will need either the XM tuner, [GEX-P920XM] or the Sirius Bus Interface, [CB-SB10] a Sirius tuner and possible the HD-Radio Tuner, [GEX-P10D].
here is the install manual for the unit...
