my del sol security
I have a 94 del sol si , and before it starts looking to nice i want to get some security measures in place. i put allot of work into it and don't want it to be missing one day.
I have been reading up on the different alarms in the sticky and have decided when i get the cash to get one to kill the starter. I don't need automatic locks. my car doesn't have them anyway. But are there any other crucial featured needed for anti theft besides the starter/fuel kill? i will be doing a stealth install myself.
Now i would like some one to clarify some things and point me in the right direction if they can.
In the mean time right now i would like to install a stealth kill switch to disable the fuel pump. I have read that it is much better to put the switch on the main relay instead of putting it on the line from the pump itself. Is this true?
Can someone clarify " the box on the right by the passengers feet under the carpet" That is the computer "main relay?" computer/main relay same thing right? Also how does one go about relocating it to a stealthier location? i was thinking way up under the dash would be good. Is there a way to get a longer harness or does one just make one? Where do you get the connectors from?
Any links to more info or personal knowledge would be appreciated. I am confident i can install this myself but before i go cutting wires i want to know what i am doing.
I want to do it once and the right way!

The main relay, [PGM-FI Main Relay] is normally located under the drivers dash, on a 94 Del Sol I will guess just above and behind the hood release.
The PGM-FI Main Relay is not the cars computer, that would be the ECM, [engine control module] also called the PCM, [power-train control module] and ECU, [engine control unit].
The PGM-FI Main Relay is actually 2 relays in one box, one of the relays is the fuel pump relay, [supplies power to the fuel pump] the fuel pump relay is controled by the cars computer, [ECM/ECU/PCM], the other relay is the injector relay, it supplies power to the injectors, ECM a few engine sensors/valves and even to the coil in the fuel pump relay.
Install a "kill" switch on the PGM-FI Main Relays ground, [coil of injector relay] and you kill it all, no power to the injectors, fuel pump, ECU or engine sensor/valves.94

So it it connected to the fuse block then?
What does it look like. there is quite allot packed into that area. Does it say pgm-fi on the side?
I take it i don't have to relocate it then? yes/no? would a theif think to look there?
Should i just tap it and put some wire loom on it so it looks oem?

There are connections from the fuse box, [powers].
It does not have PGM-FI Main Relay on it, it should have "RELAY ***'Y MAIN" and a part number on it.
Here is some info on it...

Relocating it is the best thing as a crook looking for a Del Sol will know exactly where it is.
I did not relocate mine I just cut the ground lead 8"-10" up into the dash harness so the wiring to the PGM-FI Main Relay looks stock, [no cut wires], in fact if you look up under my dash you can not see any wiring from my Alpine alarm or redundant kill switches and relays, I pulled my dash to do the stealth install, all wiring alarm and "kill" wiring is run in the stock dash harness, all connections are made where they can not be seen. 94

fcm you are awesome. Thank you for all this help man.
Witch is the most secure way to do it?
1.relocate the whole relay?
2.tap in up in the dash like you did? Seems like they could cut the wires and bypass the switch if they had access to the relay.
