car wont star weird problem
alright here it goes the other night im driving around and right from the start i felt something weird it would start to sputter a little and kept getting worst i come to a red light it sputtered hard and died i start back up after a couple of trys and it just sputtered really hard and died agian and havent got it started since heres a list of what i have tryed
i have a ls boosted in a 98 civic
new plugs (ngk v-power)
new wires
new main relay
switched ecu between obd2/virgin obd1/obd1 with hondata
put my dizzy in my friends car ran fine
took out the whole engine harnes and looked for cuts or broken wires everything was fine
checked all the fuse
im getting fuel
****im gettin spark but weak i thnk
have three ground and ground on the thermostat from the harness all connected
im stumped one thing i havent tryed is checked compression dont i cant think why it would sputter and the things that happened that that has any thing to do with compression
let me know what you think this is killing me i have no clue
thanks in advance

Measure resistance on the spark plug wires and it has to be less than 25K Ohms. Make sure the spark plugs have the correct gap 0.043" I think it is. Next, take a compression test and see if there are any problems there. Also, check your turbo for problems such as oil and coolant getting to and from the turbo. Make sure the turbo is spinning right and there's no freeplay in the shaft.

You said you are getting fuel. Where are you checking it at?
Are you just listening for the fuel pump to prime? Did you check for pressure at the fuel rail? Are your injectors actually firing?

How do you know it is weak?
It doesnt take much spark to get a car to idle. I've seen some nasty, greasy, half melted plugs still put off enough spark to start a car.

i guess i lokked at it and it would spark but it seemed slow and not that much i mean your probably right i dont really know what the spark should look like but i was just gues i gotta go grab a compression tester
