hey so i swapped a us b16 into my 91 si hatch.i have the under hood fuse box relocated inside the car at the passengers feet. the car started up first try with no problems. i then washed it and i get water leaking at the passengers feet. i go to start it a couple days later and i get nothing. i took the starter to get tested and it came up bad so i got a new one. it then did the same thing. the 50 amp fuse in the fuse box was corroded with blue corrosing from probalby that water that got in. it actually melted some of the plastic around it. this little spark that melted it a little bit i think damaged the ecu. i then added a ground so i put a ground wire from the trans to the frame. this is weird because i didn't need it before. it then turned over fine. it didn't start becuz there's no spark. the dizzy is new, but the rotor was a little burnt but i sanded it down a little bit. so basically im trying to trouble shoot no spark. i dont have a manual so dont say go buy one cuz im broke until this car is running cuz there's a buyer lined up. o and im running a p28 ecu. ill take the cover off the ecu to see if nething's burnt. im just asking for a trouble shooting step to step on testing coil and such. thanks for ane help. and one more thing, with the key to the on position, the check engine light stays on but when i jump the wires to read it, nothing happens. im gunna try to get a hold of a ecu to use, but i dont wanna mess there's up if my car is the culprit

 

ecu seems to be unburnt. i opened up both sides and couldn't find nething.
