okay BIG problem!
well lemme start off wit the basics...my clutch went out 3 weeks ago and im about to have it installed but im having a problem..my car wont start up... here are sum facts
1. all spark plug wires are on and tite
2. spark plugs are pretty new about 500 miles on em...
3. all the electrical stuf inside my car werk...
4 all my lights turn on
5. i bought a brannnd new battery
6. all u hear is the starter try to start up...
7. none of my belts are trying to turn...
8. i have more then 4 gallons of gas in my car...
the last thing i remember doing... was installing the lgiht for my oil pressure gauge and i tapped into one of the lines for the cruise control and used the gournd from my frame behind the cluster...and i accidently tapped the wires together and it sparked...now i tried to see if the light still works and it DOESNT! do u think it could be a fuse??? and do u really think a fuse would do this? and if so which ones would? im thinking about checking my fuse box but im trying to think about where i should start first...engine bay or under the dash panels? i dont really like to tinker with electrical shiet...and does it seem like my starter or alternator could be giving out? TIA!! i realllly aprreciate it!

if you saw a spark im almost 100% sure a fuse blew, why dont you pull them out one by one. I've blown my ecu fuse a few times when the power wire from the o2 touched the frame (gound) but i doubt the cruise unit would cause that fuse to blow, check the fuses under the wheel
check the starter relay fuse, and all the fuses under the hood (ones on the passenger side, right behind the strut, in that little black case). 90% chance one of those fuses are blown, take them out, and if anything looks like it's "maybe blown" change it out. My fuse for the stereo and clock looked fine, i replaced it anyway, then my stereo and clock worked... so, don't let your eyes fool ya... If it's not that, i'm clueless.
thanks guys i looked under my dash and pulle dout my fuses and founded the 20 amp fuse on the farr right thats behind the panel was blown...started it up and my cars growling like a mother... on emroe question..when i started it up ive been noticing for awhile its been smelling like gas..no smoke but i do have a hole in my exhaust piping...could this cause it??? thank you to everyone who responded for being a gret help!
