Can i use a VTEC harness on an LS with a planned VTEC head in the future?

Can i use a VTEC harness on an LS with a planned VTEC head in the future?
Okay, i found a LS long block for a good price without the harness. It's going into a 93 DX and was wondering since i will probably do a VTEC head swap in the future if i could just run a OBD1 VTEC harness on the non-VTEC LS head with an LS computer until i get a VTEC head and computer. Would all the plugs match up, beisdes just leaving the VTEC and knock sensor plugs hanging? Thanks!
