Default swap question ls/vtec

I already have a manual transmission. Im pretty sure that I can get a jdm b16a longblock from an automatic and use it with my manual tranny right? Would i need to do anything? Also, can I get a vtec head off a automatic b16a and use it for ls/vtec?

Im pretty sure its yes but want to make sure. Thanks.

Yes, auto b16 head will work for LS/VTEC. You might want to upgrade the cams, valve springs, and retainers though.

Yeah a b16 harness will already have the knock sensor on it, while the d16 ones will have to have it installed. B18 harnesses will work too.

will the ls harness work for ls/vtec? if manually hook up the vtec or something?

Should I just buy a complete vtec wiring harness?

The LS harness can be used, but vtec will have to be wired, oil pressure switch, solenoid, knock sensor. For like $20-$30 more you can get a dohc vtec harness with everything needed.

any b series tran will bolt up to any b series block, but you will need to get a flywheel and longer flywheel bolts, and you will also need a clutch.
(i am sure you already knew this though)
