Ok trying to get this car back on the road after painting it...in my haste when taking it apart i got rid of the carpet and seats that were pretty bad....now i find out i should of tried to make the carpet nice before pitching it that **** is gonna be hard to do a new one Im reading....anyways...I digress back to the point.

In my last shell (a 91 hf) I used 89 prelude seats that I made brackets for...it wasnt bad and I really like the seats.
Now this damn car has the narrow 88 seats in it and I got rid of thoes rails dammit.
What are all the cars I can get a set of rails from? Otherwise I'm stuck havin to fab something out of seats I have laying around for the 91 and the prelude seats.

And has anyone gotten any of the current ebay seats...some of them look like they would be ok but I want someone thats actually done a sit and drive test heh.

 

I'm assuming you have a hatch or a CRX? You can use 88 CRX, 89 HF, 88/89 hatch, or JDM hatch/CRX seats and those will bolt in.

If you made brackets for Prelude seats then you can make brackets for EG/DC seats. My friend had custom brackets in his 88 CRX for del Sol seats.

 

Yea if I had only kept the rails from the seats it would be cake....got rid of the whole seats tho...and I have no seats at my shop that have such rails its all newer stuff.

 

Carpet isn't that hard, just take your time, cut once, measure twice...

I know for a fact that 88 Civic seats will not readily fit in an 88 CRX, and vice verse.

 

You can buy carpet on rockauto....pre cut and molded...

 

damn i feel ya . me and my brother have 88's we tried 4 seats all and all. the original rails are still the best. after looking at a post with transfering the foam and the cover the best combo is the 94 gsrs with the dx skeleton. worked perfect easy swap too and it seats you deep really holds you in.

 

Ok gsr seats are pretty hard to come by I would bet...gonna hit up my local pick and pull yards and see if theres anything down there....so no civic seats are the same just the crx seats then?

And I got my carpet from stock interiors today. I let it sit out in the sun all day at work and its pretty much all flat now...I'll be putting it in this weekend after I get the seat thing figured out. I don't want to put it in until I know how the seats are gonna bolt up.
