SOHC VTEC hatch questions
Ok so I put in a D15B7 with D16Y8 head in my brothers 91 EF hatch. He bought the OBD0-OBD1 jumper harness, and we've converted the car to MPFI. Heres the problem: Fuel is flowing through the fuel rail, but not through the injectors. Im 99.9% sure its the wiring, but we've wired the distributor and other sensors with the same wire and everything works fine. Im wondering if something is messed up with the jumper harness and if the jumper harness was already wired for MPFI and not compatible with a DPFI harness. Im confused and in need of help! And yes, im using a P28.

did you get the OBD0-OBD1 dpfi to mpfi or just get the OBD0-OBD1 harness for the mpfi model? chances are the injector pins to the ecu harness from the car are wrong.

go double check all the wiring pins on the ecu harness for the car you were supposed to re pin when you converted, if still no luck I would call whatever company you bought the jumper harness from and ask them, sounds like the pins are wrong though.

*correction* the injectors are from a D16Z6. Code 19 is automatic lockup valve or something, i dont remember. We were using an automatic P28, but i have a manual one now so code 19 is not an issue.

Re: SOHC VTEC hatch questions
Ive checked resistance at the injector plugs....all the grounds have about .4 komhs and all the power wires have between 73 and 74 komhs. that seems like a hell of a lot of resistance, is that whats causing the low voltage?

Re: SOHC VTEC hatch questions
You say you removed the resistor box but did you solder the five wires that went to the box? Should be 4 red/black wires and 1 yellow/black wire. If you just remove the box but don't connect the wires together then your injectors will never fire.

Re: SOHC VTEC hatch questions
I think the + side of the injector wiring is a yel/blk wire, and there should be +12V with the ignition in the on position. If not, there is your prob. Check the main relay next.
