99 Civic Cluster Wire Plugs

Default 99 Civic Cluster Wire Plugs

i just took out the instrument cluster on my 99civ to try n fix the clear cover that was cracked n when i pulled out the cluster the yellow plug wasnt plugged in. does that matter? is it supposed to be unplugged?
also if anyone knows where i can get the clear cover that would help cuz i dont think there's a way to fix mine n i dont wanna buy a whole other cluster.

yellow plug is for SRS.

plug it in, the cover can be purchased at the dealer i think..

the SRS light came on last week n i took it to my mechanic to see why it was on so i guess he just unplugged it- thats not cool

That's definitely not right. I'd have a chat with him.

Plug the SRS connector in, jump the service connector, and then read the SRS trouble code:

he didnt charge me anything cuz since he had just replaced the steering column he said maybe he did something to set it off, so i took it back n i guess he just unplugged the yellow plug. so now what needs to be done so the light goes off the right way? and not just disconnecting the plug...

There is a picture of it in that illustration. It looks like the connection where you check your engine codes.

what's the small gray plug behind the fuse box under the steering column for? its just hanging there.
