i just took out the instrument cluster on my 99civ to try n fix the clear cover that was cracked n when i pulled out the cluster the yellow plug wasnt plugged in. does that matter? is it supposed to be unplugged?
also if anyone knows where i can get the clear cover that would help cuz i dont think there's a way to fix mine n i dont wanna buy a whole other cluster.

That's definitely not right. I'd have a chat with him.

Plug the SRS connector in, jump the service connector, and then read the SRS trouble code:

he didnt charge me anything cuz since he had just replaced the steering column he said maybe he did something to set it off, so i took it back n i guess he just unplugged the yellow plug. so now what needs to be done so the light goes off the right way? and not just disconnecting the plug...

There is a picture of it in that illustration. It looks like the connection where you check your engine codes.
