Default Swap Guru's NEED HELP

I am swapping a 94 civic vtec engine into a 93 civic DX.. the D16z6 i wanna swap in, does not start.. the problems are, no spark, and possibly no fuel.. i tried getting a voltage reading from the MAP sensor, and no voltage.

Some one on here told me it might be a possible bad ECU? is it possible to take the ECU from the DX engine, and use it to see it if it starts the car with the D16 engine?

check these two thing's . make sure you have the ground thats built into the wiring harness grounded to the thermo housing , next check you main relay (which it sounds to me to be the problem) its behind the driver side kick panel bolted down with one 10mm bolt its a bigger rectangle shaped grey or brown in color sensor with 1 plug , swap it out from another known running car . If the main relay is no good the car wont have any spark , fuel pump wont prime , engine light wont turn off with key on acces. mode and none of the sensors under the hood will have power sent to them . the main relay controls that all

x2 That would be the most logical diagnosis.

sorry all, but i have figured out the problem.. i cleaned all the grounds up, it seemed to turn over again.. and i also figured out it was the alternator the WHOLE time.. i didnt know that the car needs the alternator to power the fuel pump and distributor.. so it runs now, sounds alright.. but im still going to replace the headgasket and timing belt.

also, the stupid owner who had the car put DOHC sparkplug wires in, and the wrong ECU.. since there is no Vtec harness or plug on the ECU to plug in the Vtec.
