HT. I just finished installing my jvt header on my fairly stock ek coupe. My oem manifold was cracking so I took care of it with a jvt. anyways last year I had gotten a new cat welded in place and the shop kind of half assed it and left it a bit crooked , left a tin tiny exhaust leak after a while . Im guessing from it being forced into place and the vibration just slowly giving it room to create an air passage.so the jvt header wont seal perfectly with my exhaust flange, I dont blame jvt thee product looks good for the money and lines up pretty much to factory placement but im stuck with a pretty fat leak at the donut gasket . the top space from flange to flange is like 1/2in while the bottom flange to flange is nearly touching. Im gonna spring and get a whole exhaust done tomorrow at a shop . just wondering what price u paid to get new piping and a decent muffler at the end.
find a hole in the wall shop to do it. they normally do it for cheap. and not that i'm racist or anything but i try to find a mexican shop or something cause they do good work for cheap. and being in CA i'm sure you have them
I got 2.25" header back piping with OBD0 spec cat installed on my EK for $180. Not bad since it came with the cat, but the ****er gave me a generic one, not flowmaster like he said. I found out like a month later.
I also payed $100 for the Megan Racing M-OE muffler. So $280 for a header back exhaust is not bad IMHO.
