Icon2 TIre issue.. need size help

I have 16" slipstreams i have a 205/40/16 tires. i need to go as big as possible without rubbing. car is lowered 1.5". I figured a 205/50/16 might work, my new header scarps the ground Thanks to our fabulous city workers. If i could just raise the car about .5" to an inch.
thanks

well when you change your tire profile size like that, your gonna be messing up your speedometer. even though it probably already is, it'll just make it worse. not to mention it'll look frickin wierd. IMO either don't have your car lowered that much (get different springs) or learn how to drive a lowered car well. I have a friend with a 240sx, his exhaust is MAYBE 3 inches off the ground, and he does fine on our terrible roads.

my front bumpers only 2 inches off the ground and i mean i live in fl where its flat, but every business here has ridiculous hills to get into their parking lot and i never really have any problem. i scrap the very bottom maybe once a month if that

dude i know how to drive a lowered car. but when the road has low spots from over the years wear and theres a huge hump like speed bump size runnig under you. theres no driving skills that can stop the scrapping. plus i want to minimize the road noise.
