Default Building a B16a

Alright, I need all the websites and dyno charts you guys have to offer.

My plans are to build my engine BUT keep it looking stock, so when I pop the hood, people don't think anything. Like I want to keep the stock air box and headers on the car.

So.. i'm thinking port and polish, cams... but what else...

high comp pistons, built internals, nitrous jets mounted on the underside of the intake manifold, JDM 4-1 header with stock upper heatshield, ITR intake manifold, ITR TB... the results are endless; search around and see what you like.

later

i heard that the CTR/ITR cams make the biggest difference on the motor. As for websites...just try and use the search button...youll find alot in here.
good luck.

compression is key if you want to make some power with b16a....you will lack torque but the HP will make up for it...some cams will definiately help...ctr/itr cams are the cheapest and the most simplest sets you can find with out breaking your pocket for upgrading valvetrains....

the differences between the b16a IM and ITR IM are the runners, major difference seach a couple of web sites and compare the two... you will notice that the ITR IM are bigger and they look more direct and shorter then the b16a

i would personally get a 4-2-1 header so you can get over 100lbs of torque at the wheels

I'm using the stock manifolds on my b16a and managed to get pretty good numbers. Don't forget about cam gears and fuel pressure/adjustable regulator + VAFC and/or Hondata. Then make really good friends with your local tuner/dyno operator. best money i ever spent!

fresh b16a motor swap + aem cai + p28 chipped ecu

throw in a CTR intake cam + VAFC tuning =

i've got a thinner headgasket + milled head + cam gears + hondata system (borrowing, to burn a new chip) going in a few weeks.

like everyone is sayin, high compression, head gasket, pistons, rods, cams, all those are internal so they won't "see" your setup

A kickass sleeper would be to give it a toda, crower, or jun stroker kit. then some 86mm oversized pistons with high commpression. there you got almost 2.1 liters. some high lift, long duration cams. a full port and polish wouldnt hurt either. theres other little stuff that was probably mentioned above, but i dont wanna get into that.

oh yeah, dont forget to resleave the block to 86mm because the stroke on those stroker kits are 89mm, the same as an LS. youll send a rod right threw the block or crack the cylinder wall. now thats a bad rod stroke ratio.

i garantee youll make some money racing people.
