Clutch Getting Weaker, Almost Non-existant
My clutch in the last 3 days has continually gotten worse and worse. The clutch is almost non-existant at this point as well as hard to get into gear. I read on a couple post to check the Master & Slave cylinders as well as the adjusting screw underneath the clutch pedal. I looked underneath my clutch and noticed the assembly is a little lose but there is a big glob of grease at the firewall as well. Any idea's?

change master go from there its either that or slave or pressure plate took a **** is it hard to put it in gear like you have to jam it and does it grind in reverse?
It doesnt really grind going into reverse just if I'm driving and I try to downshift its hard to get into gear. The pressure plate and clutch should be good, I dont run the **** out of this engine like I could plus its a Centerforce Stg2 clutch ect. But like I said the pedal is useless for about 6/8's of the pedal. And it seems to be getting continually worse. And whats up with the grease by the clutch pedal and firewall? Cant exactly investigate as I'm at work.
Same thing happened to me...a spring broke on the disc and would jam up and get in the way, not allowing the clutch to fully disengage allowing me to get it in gear.
It sucked.
When you say the clutch is almost nonexistent, are you saying there is no pedal feel or resistance? If so, then it has to be air in the line, a leak, or one/both of the cylinders is shot.
Edit: read your second post. Sounds like the second part I wrote.

Checked the fluid and it was bone dry. Getting ready to add more to see if the pedal gets firmer. Going to re-bleed the system as well. I havent noticed any leaks in my engine bay, but I do keep it clean so that could be a factor lol. At this point I'm looking at the master or the slave cylinder. Input is welcome.
As you have learned, don't clean everything so often. If your going to, make sure you pay attention to the small details such as leaks.
Both parts are fairly cheap so it won't hurt to bad...

Added fluid and everything is a go, I'll keep a watch on leaks around the master/slave. Thanks for the replies so far.
