anybody knows the size of the tb on d16y8?
i was told by some garage guys saying 2.5in will be a good size for the single cam
but 3in is better for the twin cam vtec, for the high revs
is that true?

I usually don't believe a word that "some garage guys" say but I have seen this on a dyno to be 100% true.

hey i dont know if this is of any help, but i came across a web site a while back about how some guy built his own CAI intake out of parts from Home Depot. it was a really good job and basically looked just like the AEM unit but for a whole lot less. i belive it was for a B16 but i'm sure you could get some info from it. the only problem is a lost the link a while back. anywone else remember this or know that link??

dont go too wide cuz it ll slow down the flow of air into the throddle body..a 1/4" wider than the throddle body would be perfect then fit it with the right boot..alot of of muffler shops can help u out if u need piping bent..mandrel prefer d of course
