Default please help if you have seen or had this problem!!

ok so i posted on here a while ago about how my car looses power when vtec switches over..no one believed me so i went to the dyno..and from the last time i was there i lost 57 whp. i dont know what the hell it could be..here are some of the things ive tried

new plugs
new intake
pulled the solinoid screens to see if they were clogged
changed oil
pulled off exhaust figuring maybe it was clogged
pulled off valve cover to look at cams and they were all fine

if you have any other ideas please let me know!! i really cant figure this thing out

by the way ..my mods are reflash, i/h/e, TBS, heatshield

Please post dyno so we can see what is going on. If at all possible post before and after.

Did it lose power just in VTEC or across the whole range?

Have you checked your compression? Is VTEC engaging? Does it sound different?

truthfully i didnt even ask them to print them out cause it was so embarrassing.but on the low cam the pull looked normal..we even pulled up another si dyno with the same mods and both of the pulls looked exactly the same on the low cam..but as soon as 4800rpms came and was supposed to switch to vtec it fell flat on its face and basically flat lined on the dyno chart.

it did sound like vtec was engaging but the motor gets abnormally loud..like 3 times as loud as normal.

we did check the compression and everything was ok

Never heard of that before. Really strange that the car is getting louder than normal.

I would post this issue on the Hondata Forum, under K20 reflash. Sounds like something might be goofy with the reflash. Hopefully you did buy the reflash through an authorized dealer.

Good Luck
