How do you plan on tuning it to run correctly?

i believe ctr pistons will raise your compression to around 12.5, that's kinda high

i dont know, do i have to tune it at all if i put the ctr pistons maybe cuz of the high compression, like more fuel so the engine will be balance

http://www.c-speedracing.com/howto/c...c/compcalc.php this compression calculator should help you a little.

Oh, wait. Did you mean ... will you need to re-optimize the A/F ratio and possibly ignition timing so the car will run? If so, then no. The car will probably still idle OK, though there may be "some issues".

Frankly, the car has an ECU, so let THAT handle it! LOL!

Do you have a spare motor handy?

To the op. IMO, if you easy drive your R with the CTR pistons, you won't have to do any thing to the engine. If you will be driving it hard, you better get it tune. Then again, what the use of increase the compression of the engine and not drive it hard...and if you are going to drive it hard, why not get it tune so you don't damage the engine in the long run. Then again, I heard that you can just use higher octane gas to combat the "ping ping" causing by too high compression.

ideally, you'd want to tune it to fully utilize the higher compression for maximum power. Maybe increase your injectors to 310.

This is my setup with upgrades.....

Skunk2 IM & TB port match to 70mm, Skunk2 valvetrain, Skunk2 pro 2 cams, SARD racing fuel system, Spoon cam gears, rc 310cc injectors, 81.25mm CTR pistons, & eagle rods.
I was told my CP ratio would be @ 12.8. I'm running a chipped p28 with custom basemap & hondata s200.
I haven't had it tuned yet because I have my 2nd son on the way so the project is sitting in my garage.
I'll be taking it to Church to have it tuned though. I'll keep it updated if anyone is interested.

i have skunk 2 pro 2 cams. you need bigger cams so the engine breathes better. you would need to upgrade your cams and valvetrain to actually see some power gains.

C-Speed doesn't use the correct compression height for the PCT pistons (CTR).

You'll be sitting closer to 13:1 with those slugs in there:

interested in results...I have a similar setup and I am sitting here looking at my hondata s200 BNIB on my desk and am wondering about numbers/results. Are you happy with the s200? I got mine for a rediculous price, and dont know anyone who uses or has used the s200 rather then the s300? I would be interested in your experience with this setup.

Oh and OP... I run a 00 usdm Itr with a ctr intake cam and a stock exhaust manifold, (check my sig for specs) I run it on either a 98 p73 ecu or on a chipped p61 from my gsr, I have driven the car daily at times and here in Palm Springs it gets really hot in the summer and if I adjust the timing slightly,I get no pinging until the outside temps reach over 115 degrees. The car is amazing to drive and gives me no problems whatsoever.
