eclipse turbo on d15
Ok last night I found an abandoned eclipse 2.0L DOHC engine in the woods. Called the cops, they came and said no one reported a stolen car or parts and told me I could keep it.
I took it home and inspected it and the turbo seems to be in decent shape. It has a little bit of shaft play (side to side) but it isn't too bad. I believe that it is a 4g63 engine but I'm not positive.
I want to put this turbo on my civic temporarily, but idk who makes a manifold that would fit this turbo.
And I'll also be selling parts on it so if anyone needs parts they are for sale.

Depending on the year of the motor, you have either the 14B from the 1989-1994 DSMs or the T25 (smaller) from the 1995-1999 DSMs. The best manifold (read: cheapest) is to use an HX manifold, and have a muffler shop weld on a 14B flange, then bolt the turbo on. Check HomeMadeTurbo for tons of hackjobs like these. They work!
The engine is almost definitely a 4G63. If it's in good shape, you've made a few bucks.

ok so it is a T25.
ive located a T25 manifold for the d series, an external wastegate block off plate, a DSM downpipe (cut it to make it fit on the civic) and an intercooler/ piping setup.
i'm gonna be spending about $500 for the whole setup.
how does everyone plumb the oiling system for the turbo? i know i can drill and tap the oil pan for the return line, but where do i get the pressure from? and do i need a regulator to lower the oil pressure so that i dont get any blow by inside the turbo.

When I put a T25 eclipse turbo on my d16 civic, I tapped the oil feed line into the oil pressure sending unit witch is located right above the oil filter on the back side of the engine. I used a 1/8 NPT “T” fitting, a 1/8 NPT male to male fitting ,and a 1/8 NPT to -3AN adapter so I could still have a working sensor.
I then used a 31-inch steel braided hose that connected to the 1/8 NPT to -3AN adapter, the other end of the hose connected to a 90 degree fitting so that it would clear the compressor housing. The 90 degree fitting then hooked up to a -3AN to 7/16-24 inverted flare that fits perfectly into the top hole of the turbo.
That’s how I have my oil feed line hooked up. The whole thing was right around $40. Most of the stuff I got right at the local store.
