auto to manual problem
i recently did my conversion from auto to manual on my 1994 ex
and everything worked out great except my shift linkage is way loose when its in gear it feels like its in neutral and its hard to tell what gear you will go into if you dont really know how to work it
i almost feel like its missing some sort of support for it or something
can any one help? thanks

how long and how much was it for the tranny swap?
It'll run you between 300 to 500'ish if you get a bunch of new parts. A transmission will be 150 to 300 depending on the type and what area you live in (mine was free from a friend). You'll need miscellaneous brackets, a different aftermarket mount for 92-95, an ECU and intake manifold is recommended to idle correctly, shift linkage ($50 at most)...
It's a cheap, great improvement. I still consider it the best modification I've done to my vehicle to-date.

make sure everything is tight. also, i bought a car that did this, and it turned out that someone substituted the rollpin for the linkage, with a small bolt. 8mm rollpin....fixed everything.

thanks i hadnt checked this thread in a while thought it was just dead.
its not very expensive at all. i did mine for very cheap. cost me around $300 with everything and i have a hasport mount and 6 puck clutch and a short shifter. i found a y8 tranny for $60 with a stock clutch pressure plate and starter. its a easy swap im doing another auto to manual swap on my civic wagon.
the only advice i have for someone doing it is dont forget all the little stuff like bolts and pins.
