so i started to get my motor together and when i was putting the dowel pins in i noticed that 1 dowel pin was bigger then the other. the bigger 1 fits snuggly in the block but wnt go over the head gasket. The smaller 1 fits in the block loosely and the head gasket DOES fit over it.
its a golden eagle kit that i bought a long time ago.Can i bore out the head gasket hole or do i need new dowel pins? the head gasket is OEM

are you putting them on correctly?
bigger side to the head, smaller side to the block.
If you need to you can bore open a little the gasket.
Have you contacted GE?

You need LS/VTEC dowel pins. KMS used to sell them. You can get them on EBAY
