B18b1 into a Da
I have a 1990 integra and i have a b18b1 from a 97 ls and i was wonderin what i would need to make this swap work. i know that the cams are slightly more aggresive than the b18a1's cams and i was wondering if this would cause a problem. If it does cause a problem what would i need to correct it to make it work. If somebody could help me out on this that would be great.
I have a 97' B18B in my 90' DA. You don't need anything special to make it work, just drop it in. I stayed non-obd so I basically just used the block/head, everything else was from my old motor (IM, ECU, alt/dizzy, etc.).
Super easy swap, drops in like stock. Only thing you have to wire is a extension on the ECT switch (located on the thermostat housing instead of the block).
Don't expect much of a gain from the swap though because the header, intake manifold, and ECU have just as much to do with the 10-15hp gain as the cams do.

i would personally convert to obd1. all you'd need is an ecu, and jumper harness'. its a direct drop in, so you shouldn't have any issues doing it.
yea but goin that ways gona cost more money which i dont got its just gona be a rebuilt stock swap and the car is beat to hell so why waste the money, but thank you guys for the help i appriciate it
