Hey guys,
I recently build my car, ls/vtec with gt35r made 462whp
4 days after I got the car back I broke my tranny: some of the countershaft teeth broke off (where it connects to the final drive) and one of the teeth on my final dribe chipped.
I have the gsr tranny with the oem viscious lsd (14 bolt final drive).
Now I'm planning on purchasing a used gsr and install a Mfactory lsd but a few friends suugested I get the ls tranny with mfactory lsd because of it's longer gears, they say it's more suitable for my setup.
What do you guys think of this? any comments or suggestions?
The car is my daily driver and I go about 2-3 times a week to the drag strip and I'm always on street tires (for now that is...)

Get the B16 or GSR Tranny (and depending on preference, you can install the LS 5th). Just don't put in the whole LS Tranny, and don't listen to the "boost with longer gears" nonsense
