B18c5 valve adjustment
what do i adjust my vlaves to on my r. it says in the book intake .006-.007 and exhaust .007-.008. what will i lean more on when adjusting the vlave. will i you adjust the intake to .006 and the exhaust .007 or do it the other way intake .007 and the exhaust .008. This might be a dumb question but i am in the middle of adjusting mine and it starting to **** me off. thanks
what i am tryind to say is, that i am adjusting my valve lash on my itr. The directions in the repair book say to adjust the intake to 0.006" - 0.007" and on the exhaust 0.007" - 0.008". What my question is for example: "should I use 0.006" feeler gauge or should I use the 0.007' feller gauge on the intake side, when i am adjusting the valve lash". AND the same qestion for the exhaust side! MAYBE that is a little clearer!
Your question isn't dumb, your grammar is.
With the lower of the two variances, the lash tool should barely be able to slide below the cam and the the higher value should be a tad easier. Be careful not to crimp the slides or you're screwed.

Crimp what sides? You mean the feelers?
