I have this guy who works w/ me, who claims (you better sit down) that he ran an 8 flat (1/8) in a 01 civic. Now, at this point I was a little curious about this guy was on, and making sure I never get within ten feet on it. He claims this :
he has 185 shot, running stock internals w/ "head work" (he claims he found a iron head)
a 97 gsr ecu (would this even work?) controling achol injection, w/ not one but TWO laptops
and running dounts in the front and radials on the back.
OHOHOHOHOH and he said the ecu lets is auto not shift until 9000 rpm.

At this point I was about ready to call this guy a total ******* moron and beat the **** out of him right there, but wait theres more!

It took him not once, not twice, but 23 runs to achieve this time. I'm not nitrous expert, but wouldn't your bottle/motor, run out/explode after about 10 runs on a 185 shot. Also can you even use a gsr ecu on a newer civic? Only reason I really even ask is I just want to make sure (before I tell everyone at my job what a ******* ignoramus this peon is.) that this is 100% impossible.

thats so funny. there was a guy on here a while back who said he put twin turbo on hi civic and ran i think it was 8 seconds too....he was 16 i think. and later we found out he drives a toyota paseo or something

 

This guy you know is <U>obviously</U> telling the truth. What he has done is a common thing among true honda tuners. Everyone knows stock internals can handle up to a 250 shot and can rev well past 35000rpm's. The lack in consistency in his runs is most likely due to a faulty muffler bearing, or low headlight fluid. Its sad to here an idiot rant about what they supposedly have...
