integra b20 swap
swapping a jdm b20b into my 94 gsr integra, it currently has a blown ls w/ gsr tranny (long story). the b20 i ordered is obd2, so would i have to use my obd1 ls distributor? and what else if anything would i need for everything to run right? thanks for the help

you will need a OBD2 engine Harness for everything to be properly functionable and a OBD2 to OBD1 jumper to match up your OBD1 ECU, my buddy is running an OBD2 motor with OBD2 harness and a OBD1 integra ECU in his 96 civic hatch.
most harnesses and jumpers are on ebay, or you can go to junk yard and get the harness and then get the jumper.
hope this helps

use the OBD1 distrubitor and chip your ECU to disable some sensors, but it will be expansive, so i would run the obd 2 harness and a jumper. but there are options to go around it but too much work and most likely wont run right.
can anyone else confirm that this is the best and cheapest method? ive heard people saying i can just swap my IM and dizzy from the ls and that it will run fine as well? any input is appreciated.

lots of incorrect info in this post. why are you telling him to get a jumper harness? either one will connect to his ecu harness. first off he can use obd1 or obd2 harness but he would need the dizzy and injectors to go with either harness. since you already have a harness out of a 94 just swap your current dizzy and injectors over to the b20. no need for any jumper harness. use your stock p75 to run your b20 if thats what you have. just use your stock harness, dizzy, and injectors. your computer wont look for the knock sensor or the crank position sensor so dont worry about trying to hook them up. someone correct me if im wrong.

anytime. i just put obd2 b20z2 in my 94 ls with a gsr harness last year. im using a stock p75 with my fuel pressure set to 45. my car runs fine.
yea unfortunately the B20z's are out of stock so i got a b20b, which is fine with me because it was cheap and i just need it to get me around. if i need to later i could always go b20vtec (which im actually heavily considering). and either way i should be able to have some fun with this gsr tranny : ]
Im doing the same thing except a b20z in to a automatic 92 eg. Will the D series dizzy swap over to the b20 head? That would be the easiest solution. Should I get a conversion from rywire to use a obd1 harness with a obd2 dizzy? The fuel rail wont work I know but will the d injectors swap into the b20z rail? The only problem I see is the rail looks like it sits to high and the bolts that hold the fuel rail in seem to tall. What about the mounts? Will stock d series mounts bolt up to the b20? I think the only problem with that is the automatic rear mount, correct?
