I have major oil leaks dripping out from the bottom of my distributor cap..not sure whats the problem..i took off the distributor and screwed off the cap and oil seems to leak into the distributor..so i replaced it with a extra distributor i have laying around my house..screwed everything back on and started the car..it seems to have stop for about 2-3 minutes, but then it starts dripping out oil again..so im stuck to the point where im not sure what to do..not sure if i want to go buy a new distributor and have the same problem..any advice will be greatly appreciated...thanks

 

the distributor o-ring is probably worn. pull it out again and change it. couple $ at honda

 

did you replace the 99 cent o ring that goes on the dizzy shaft??

 

yep, o ring was replaced..

 

In addition to the shaft O-ring, there's a seal inside the dizzy that, if bad, will allow oil into the dizzy.
