My car shuts down after about 5 minutes or so of driving. The check engine light comes on only when the car shuts off. Its not showing an over heat, its not vapor lock, the fuel pump and filter are fine, but the radiator cap leaks alittle. the car will start again after about 5-10 minutes of sitting, and then it will start right back up with no check engine light on., but only drive for another 2-3 minutes then it shuts down again. This problem only happens when driving, not when idle. The distributor is fine, and im getting spark. It almost seems like an over heat, but the gauge doesn't show. well, i think i figured it out, just drove it for over an hour up to 125 and its seems fine now, basiclly it was the main air sensor and my cd player was shorting out, it was to hot to hold it was so bad, took out the cd player, replaced the main air sensor and bam. it works fine now, hope this helps someone else out, i know you didnt even try to help me out!!! Thx anyways
