k i have a boosted dohc zc and with a brand new oem oil pump and for some reason i think im getting low oil pressure....

i was driving on the highway today and noticed i was only getting 35psi at 4k

and then when i did a pull in 2nd gear...at 7k im only getting 40psi....

after driving it hard and when i put it in neutral to idle the oil dummy light will flicker....ive checked the connection and its all good...but once i start driving again the light will stop flickering...

im running 10w30....could that be the reason ?

its starting to hit summer so its around 80-90 degrees....

 

sounds like you've developed bearing failure.

better pull the pan & take a look.
