Ok so past month here and there i would have to jump my car because it would just keep cranking and cranking and wont turn over but as soon as i put jumper cables on and jump it it cranks real quick and starts..

so this morning im getting ready to go to class and i go to start it just keeps cranking so my neighbor comes over and jumps it. i go to class and after i leave class it does the same thing and at first i had some kid jump me in his cobalt no go, than he left and this other kid in a suburban came and jumped it for me it wouldn't crank than finally i puttered and i floored the gas and it started up. the battery is really old.


do you think its my battery or coil pack? im getting a new battery in a little bit to see if it does that again. after i shut my car off like 20 minutes ago i started it 4 times with out hesitation what could this be!

 

dude, you already know you need a new battery..

best thing to do, take it to advance auto parts / oreilys / auto zone and have them check the battery and charging system for free.

Go get yourself the top of the line battery, or spend the 150 for the RED top Optima, and change out your battery terminals with new ones.

if u want to know for sure if its ur battery ask some one to let u use there battery for a bit see if it starts everytime. if it does start ever time than it is ur battery........
