holset hx35 internal wastegate ?
i was wondering if any of you have used a Holset HX35 and retained the Internal wastegate feature!
i need to turn the Base boost (the pressure when the vac line on the compressor housing is connected to the Wastegate, not sure if baseboost is a generic term or Saab specific) down to about 10PSI, and ill let my EBC control my pressure from there!
if i lengthen the wastegate actuator will 10PSI be reasonably achieved. Ive heard the big problem with the Internal wastegate setup is the inability to turn the boost down low!
any thoughts or suggestions?

The internal gate design is pretty much a failure as far as making power goes.
The stock WG actuator on that turbo is going to be aiming for the 22-23psi range IIRC, so if you want to use the internal gate, you need to change the actuator out for one with the boost pressure you want.

yes but the cost of a good external wastegate cant be too cheap.... correct me if im wrong!
do even if i lengthen the rod the chances are it will still be above 15PSI base boost? ****...
well my system can deal with 15PSI base boost but its definatly on the high side...
