Default block guard installation???????????

O.k. I got this block guard(golden eagle). I've been researching how this thing is going to work for me, and now I'm a bit worried! Am I going to have to weld the bitch in? Am I going to have to hone my block again. Or worse, am I going to have to bore it? If I have to bore it; will I have to bore it so far that I cannot use my rods and pistons? Please let me know.

block guards are crap. the right way to have it done is install the guard and then have the block bored. the reason is to make sure the cylinders are still straight after the install so a simple hone will not work. so no if u bore it you need the size pistons to match the cylinder.
