S2000 clutch/transmission issues at the track
so we went to the track last night with our s2k. we get to the line on the first pass...do a small burnout. Everything looked fine until he pulled to the line and all of a sudden the car would not go in any gear while the car was started! and the clutch was stuck in the engaged position. After messin with it for 30 min. and it still not going in gear unless the car was off! We decided to put the car in 1st gear and start it. the car would jump forward when started as if we were trying to jump start it. after we did this....the clutch suddenly broke lose and the car was fine again. We did notice an odd small chatter in the clutch pedal in 1st gear only(when pushing clutch in) but after a few minutes of driving it went away. so this leaves me with the question WTF? The car dynoed at 670whp and has a 6 puck clutch(dont remember brand).
P.s when we had this car at the track 2 years ago...we had another issue where the car would not go into 5th gear til the following day.
Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!

Sounds like you welded the disc to the flywheel. If you are doing your burnout without a linelock(footbraking it), that is probably what caused it. footbraking a rwd car is very bad for the clutch. Use a linelock and it should be fine.
Those stock S2000 transmissions suck after 600whp, I've had all kinds of issues, including breaking 2nd gear twice, and having similar issues as you described above.
I've finally given up on the stock transmission and decided to put a PPG dogbox in the car.
It was fine at 550whp, but as soon as we hit 600whp it kind of turned to garbage.
