whats up peeps,so i have a 89 crx with a b18a with a turbo kit.this last week my car has been running real good.so one day i go to the hospital then when i leave im driving down chula vista,my car started bogging,but only when im like at 10% throttle.then when i hit boost it felt weak,still hits 8 pounds on the gauge but does not feel like it.....when ever i come to the high rpms the motor gets louder then the turbo,it used to never do that.

i have only done a brief inspection of the couplings and stuff,all vacumes are good only have 2 vac lines the rest got blocked off.It is obd0 with stock ecu and fmu with a missing link,and a 255 fuel pump.

Stock ecu? Is this tuned at all, if not get it tuned asap, before you blow the thing up

 

I had a fmu. They suck. Check the fuel filter thats what mine was. Get it tuned. Fmu gone and get rid of the. Missing link and you will be golden

 

i been untuned for six months,it ran good.but saving money for some 550cc and some AEM standalone.so you said your fuel filter was your problem?you think you could post up some of your symptoms?

 

motor is louder then the turbo? you mean like knocking noise?

my turbo ls felt sluggish but would still build 10psi... ended up spinning a rod bearing shortly after.

 

you know how all motor sounds different than a boosted motor?mine kinda sounds like that.did your Bov stop blowing off?

maybe you have a serious boost leak?? even though you are making full boost it could still be leaking

sparks rotor? all ok ? Did u check fuel pressure? timing is ok? Too rich?

 

Check your timing.

My GSR did the same thing a few weeks ago...turned out the intake cam jumped time.

no, any more than 10-15% throttle it bogged like a ****.

It was a tooth retarded on the intake cam... since you are bogging the opposite as my car was you may be advanced....who knows? Just check timing, it's free. Always check the free stuff first.

wait your running an FMU for now to save for a shittty aem ems LOL. dude crome = freeware is 1000% better than fmu and gets the job done. AEM sucks period. if you want to spend some money on a good system get hondata s300 or ectune or neptune or if you really wanna drop big money get a motec

But it sounds like you could have a few problems, i would first start with boost pipes. if one is leaking you can stil read 8 psi on the gauge but not get the air flow and not make power. also could be motor letting go from to much timing with that fmu setup you've got there. probably cracked ringlands if you didnt back timing out
