i just bought a 1993 vx with a d15z1 i have a d16z6 laying around and wanted to swap it in... is there going to be a problem wiring it up since i have a stock harness and not the one that came with the motor...? i did a search but nothing comes up...thank you

 

the only thing I can think of that might pose a problem is the O2 sensor harness on your engine harness. The D16Z6 O2 sensor has 4 wires, but I think yours might have 5. If yours has 4 wires you should fine.

If that's the case, just get a P28 ECU and plug it in when you swap the engine and you'll be good to go.

I would imagine though that the P28 would still be able to function properly even if the D15Z1 harness and O2 sensor are 5-wire. Only way I would see a problem happening is if you had a D15B8 currently, with the 1-wire O2 sensor.
