OK I have a Civic Ex with full GSR swap , im using the stock wireing harness from the car. I looked around but cant faind not tread that can really help so i want to know how wire the vtec directly to my ECU. I used P72 N P73 but still no vtec so help me out please !!
I'm sorry, slow down. Are you staying OBD2?
And the vtec should be plug n play pin is A8 on the ECU wiring harness for OBD2a. Green/Yellow wire going in to the engine bay.

No VTEC. Is the engine warm, are you up to speed? Any check engine light? with that harness you won't have to wire up the oil pressure sensor, vtec solenoid, and ground at all. It's all there already. There's something else you're probably missing. Post more information:
engine OBD?
ECU OBD?
Harness adapters?
engine modifications?
Is the car even running/starting?

Well i staid OBD2 using the stock civic EX wiring harness(OBD2a). The only way Vtec kick in is when i put it on my high bims but i dont want to stay using my high bims . The engien is OBD2 ECU OBD2 and the only mods in ma car are AEM V2 intake and 4-1 headers. Car runs and all that but i really need The VTEC to kick in. So help me out.

Ok,
1) No you did not say OBD2, don't incorrectly correct those trying to help you. We are only being nice and having discussion, you aren't paying us.
2) WTF are "high bims", do you mean your high beams as in your lights? If this is the case you have some seriously messed up wiring issues.
3) How do you know the VTEC is not kicking in, do you have any check engine lights? Or do you just not "feel" it kick in?

sorry about the coment. The vtec is wired to the high bims my lights so when i pull on the high bims the Vtec kicks in with the power. I know the vtec is not working case i dont feel the it. You cane feel or hear the vtec so i dont hear or feel the vtec unless i pull on the high bims. Any idea wats the problem?????

Well I guess if you have a vtec wire connected to your high beam wire you could trigger it this way? But why the hell would you, I'm just lost in this nonsense. Maybe you can take it to a local mechanic who has work with Honda swaps and he can figure out how you have it set up.
The VTEC wire goes from A8 to the solenoid. It's one wire. It should go straight from the ECU to the solenoid. Your ECU should throw a CEL if anything isn't working right.

I have this thread saved on my 'favorites', because its hilarious. OK, so you have your vtec hooked up with your high beams so whenever you turn them on, you think your vtec will kick in? To the ht crew, was this ever done before because I have not heard of this, ever. If its true, Ill do the same thing lol.
Can you imagine this guy trying to FLICK his HIGH beams at someone and his VTEC kicking in?
To be honest this **** is pretty funny. I've heard about other so called "VTEC TRICKS" like buttons, VTEC controller, even that JDM solenoids crack harder. But switching it with the " HIGH BEAMS".......Priceless!
