hey does anybody know where to buy a bolt that fits to plug up one of the o2 sensor bungs? i know password jdm has them but im not really looking to spend 15 bucks on a bolt.

 

determine the diameter of the opening and then go to lowes for a bolt. i would estimate it to be half an inch. also, i doubt the thread pattern on the o2 sensors are unique.

one option is you can get a dummy o2 sensor from the junk yard and use that to plug the hole.

get a short short bolt with M18 x 1.5 threads

 

Yeah, but if you want to take those off you have to have an O2 sensor socket because of the protrusion on top of the O2 sensor.

Anyway, the O2 bolt should be metric--maybe 22mm, that's the socket size btw.

 

trust is right it's a m18 x 1.5 bolt

Ace hardware has them for 4 bucks.

Remember not all Ace stores are the same. only a couple in my town had those bolts

 

Or you might be able to find it in Home Depot.

how about hardware store. not specific, just a hardware store. it doesn't matter which one, they'll likely have it.

 

You could always check ebay too. I picked one up on ebay for $3.60 with free shipping.

 

I just don't know if the there will be any problems with the bolt due to the heat. Probably not, but you might want to look into tempered bolts.

Just make sure the bolt you buy is 'Grade 8'. These bolts are for automotive applications.
