Can i use a auto p28 in 5speed? I have a 97 civic dx 3dr and i swaped in a d16y8 from a 00 and my friend has a auto p28 can i use it for now and just use my vtec controller to run vtec??? And i have a jumper harness.

 

Just convert it to manual by removing the resistor at RP17. It will throw a code otherwise.

Ok and i have a apexi afc neo can i just run the vtec wire straight from the neo to the silenoid??? cause im runing a non vtec wire harness....

 

My friend told me if i hook up the rpm wire to the neo and vtec wire. The new would kick vtec in??

 

VTEC controllers are crap. Wire it correctly and have the ECU do it properly.

 

fore sure vtec controllers are wack but are good for monitoring like tps % and a records highest rev and look coo but for the same price u have the tuner view

 

Indeed. The TV can see a lot more without splicing the wiring.
