Default Defi water gauge reading over 100 deg Celsius??

my defi sensor is located in the upper radiator hose, and in normal driving it will go over 100 deg celsius regularly. i'd like to hear from other defi users if this is normal? car doesn't eat coolant, and im using the stock tstat and fan switch

Hmmm, mine never seems to go over 100. goes up to 100, but it doesn't go over that point when daily driving.

i've got a Koyo rad, FAL fan, mugen thermostat, and OEM Honda coolant (blue stuff) if that helps.

what kind of coolant are you using?

100 deg Celsius = 212 Fahrenheit

if you are driving in hot climates, driving hard, both. the car will get warm.

the stock thermo is 180, expect some variation in the guage.

what's the problem...?

Hence the reason why the stock guages have the name "idiot lights" Because if they showed the actuall movement, which happens to be a lot then most people would be worried and ask for help.
