Default Valve adjustment question

I'm checking valve lash on a D16Z6 race prepped engine (SCCA ITA, .020 over-bored, etc.) and it's got the vtec pinned so it's always engaged, oil pressure sensor bypassed, hondata s100, etc. Anyways, do I need to worry about the fact that the vtec lobes are engaged all the time when checking the valve clearance, or can I follow the exact instructions and clearance specs in the factory manual? Or will it tell me that in the manual, which I haven't checked first. I did a valve adjustment on a non-prepped, totally stock motor, off the same shop manual, 4 years ago, and I thought I'd throw this out here first, so that after I spend 20 minutes down there looking at it, I can come back here and maybe someone will have answered me. TIA.

Yup, I'm an idiot. Valve lash adjustments are done with pistons at TDC on the compression stroke, as in ALL valves are closed, so it really doesn't matter about the vtec being engaged all the time.

Thanks for being straight up, Murk 'EM!
