Default Squeak at high RPM? Problem?

driving an 02 civic lx sedan, auto.
just replaced a leaking plug on the head, some little plastic piece, was slowly leaking oil over everything. And seemed to fix a hi-rev problem when switching to 2nd and 3rd (auto remember) still to be determined though, have already bought a new tranny but we'll see about that one.

but was testing to see if it had fixed the high rev and found another problem.

seems that if I go heavy on the pedal while its still in first when it hits its top RPM before it goes to second or as its changing there is a fairly loud one second squeak coming from the engine somewhere i think.

Anyone have an idea what this could be?

Default Re: Squeak at high RPM? Problem?

Did some more driving, only seems to happen when I red line it from first, nothing to drain power, no music, no ac. I mean not like i'm going to do it all the time...

then my next problem i want to figure out is the grinding sound when I'm cornering at a bit of a high speed. shocks? struts? It is worse when in wet weather and dont even have to be cornering, just hit any nice sized puddles....... I thought it was the b-pipe before but now I'm unsure cause it happens in warmer weather now...
