i reinstalled my a/c recently and its been giving me problems . its a 93 h23a1 . the car drives fine when the a/c compressor is off . but when i activate the a/c compressor button, the idle will drop between 0 & 500 rpm, and it will rev up and down about 5-10 times before it stops and idles regularly around 750 rpm again . it also does this everytime i stop at a stoplight or stopsign and it is very aggravating . i dont really know what to do to fix this problem, but i was wondering if anyone had any ideas ?

 

All of our preludes act crazy with the AC on...thats why i keep mine off.....

i'm having the same problem with my 99 and it just started doing it so it's definitly not normal...it's driving me mad...haven't figured it out yet, all I know so far is that I have enough r-134a and oil in it.

 

i didnt figure this was a common problem . i know i didnt have this problem before i took my a/c off . and i know i installed back on my a/c correctly and charged professionally from a friend of mines . my car is basically stock with the exception of a IHE . but does anyone have any or the slightest idea what might cause this ? i am willing to try anything .
