ok ej8 with a 00 gsr swap.. vtec used to work then cel code 86 came up vtec not working at this point. changed temp sensors cel went out for a day now cel 86 is back and no vtec still .............any help???????????

 

check your oil level...
check the filter on the vtec solenoid. if it's clogged oil psi won't be where it needs to be .

umm oil is the 1st thing i checked...it def has oil. could a bad ground be a cause?

 

ok can anyone show me a link to see wtf the solenoid filter looks like apparently im bein stupid and cant seem to figure out what it looks like. and i dnt wanna just take a bunch of stuff apart for no reason
