Viper Alarm / Car battery died

Default Viper Alarm / Car battery died

My car battery was completely dead. got new battery. next thing you know, my remote for my viper alarm stops working. non of the lights are lighting up. i thought it was battery. put new AAA battery into viper remote. stilll nothing.

maybe your remote have moisture or it wet in the inside try wrapping a shirt over it and blow drying it.

bad wiring on the alarm.
check everything out and make sure there are no short circuits.

wait so when you say no lights are lighting up do you mean the remote itself has stopped functioning, or that the lights don't flash on the car and it is unresponsive to the commands sent by the remote? perhaps since the battery died, the alarm brain lost its connection to the remote?

i wouldnt have a remote start on a manual transmission because i leave it in gear when i park.. how good will your garage look if you start your manual car in first gear? and keyless entry is just a novelty.. its not necessary to the driving of your automobile

well no, it's not. but then again neither is the majority of stuff people do to their vehicles here at honda-tech... most people look at keyless entry as nothing special because they have it on their cars from factory. i did not. so it's certainly, for me, a nice feature to have.

well i dont think its anything special either.. i have it but mine doesnt work real well. but im not worried about locking my doors as im walking away from my car. i can easily push a ****.
but thats neither here nor there.
it's not that big of a deal
