is it obd2a or obd2b?

im trying to figure out if my car is obd2a or obd2b? i have a 97 coupe dx.

obd2a.

96-98= obd2a
99-00= obd2b

when using a jumper harness does anything need to be done to the ecu? or is just plug in and go?

well im gonna use a jumper harness for a p28. to go from obd2a to obd1

buy a obd2a to obd1 jumper harness. can find one here for 60 bux. should just plug up...
